Flexible user profiles for XL2 Analyzer
August 2010. The XL2 Audio and Acoustic Analyzer has proven popular for live sound, installed sound, studio and environmental noise applications. The new firmware V2.03 extends the XL2 features for comprehensive measurement applications. The most important new functions are the customizable user profile handling, the load back function of stored measurement data and an optional RT60 measurement in third octave resolution. NTi Audio opens Prague office
July 2010. NTi Audio established the new Prague office for serving customers in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. For a smooth transition into the new organizational structure, the key manager has been retained from the former sales organization. The new NTi Audio Prague manager Dipl. Ing. Bedrich Votypka is a leading member of the Czech acoustic society for many years. The new office secures excellence in customer support in the region and underlines the company’s growth.

XL2 Analyzer records high-resolution Wav-files with EAP-Option
April 2010. The XL2 Audio and Acoustic Analyzer now records linear, high-resolution wav-files in 24 Bit / 48 kHz resolution with the optional Extended Acoustic Pack (EAP). At the same time the XL2 measures the sound levels of the monitored live sound or environmental noise, thus audio and level data are stored simultaneously on the Mini-SD-Card. This ideally suits acousticians for further post processing or detailed analysis on the computer.

NTi Audio presents High-Resolution Polar Plot Measurement
Dec 2009. The professional NTi Audio microphone measurement system has been extended with a high-resolution polar plot feature. Police turns down the volume of anti-social drivers
Nov 2009. Anti-social drivers are being targeted by the police force of Devon and Cornwall, UK, in an attempt to curb excessive noise from modified cars or altered exhausts. The introduction of sound measuring kits including the NTi Audio Acoustilyzer AL1 and M2010 measurement microphones at each of the force’s roads policing centre’s means officers can deal effectively with noise pollution from vehicles in known problem areas.

Red Square Audio takes first NTi Audio XL2
Oct 2009. Paul Nicholson from Red Square Audio became the first person to purchase the brand new XL2 Audio and Acoustic Analyzer at PLASA 2009. He was so impressed with the XL2 that he took it away at the end of the show. The XL2 got already heavily used at a concert for SPL and FFT mapping and for RT60 and STI-PA measurements at a prestigious installation project on behalf of an audio consultancy company.

New Dubai Airport Terminal passes STI-PA Measurements
August 2009. The new Terminal 3 and Concourse 2 at Dubai International Airport have been commissioned last October. Prior the grand opening the Berlin based company Rahe-Kraft measured all halls for good speech intelligibility of the PA-system. One of the key tools was the portable Acoustilyzer AL1, which saved them a lot of time in their project; the STI-PA measurements could be completed faster than expected.

Applause Meter decides Song Contest Festival
April 2009. The Acoustilyzer AL1 serves as an applause meter for shows, such as the annual Song Contest Festival in Feldkirch, Austria. The event stages daring hobby and leisure-time stars, who truly understand to cheer up their audience. The competition result is based on the generated applause level. Indeed, the Song Contest winner is determined by the average applause level over 10 seconds.

Phantom Power Testing with MR-PRO
Mar 2009. A missing output signal of a microphone is commonly caused by turned off or defective phantom power supply. The signal generator MR-PRO exactly traces such microphone power supplies and measures the individual phantom voltage at the XLR connector pin 2 and pin 3.

Reliable XLR Pin 1 Cable Testing with MR-PRO
Feb 2009. NTI introduces a unique feature of the Minirator MR-PRO: The "Pin 1 Cable Tester" functionality. It detects the proper connection from the cable shield or 3rd conductor wire to the XLR connector pin 1. The Minirator impedance test function measures minor capacitive differences between the two wires and the shielding of an XLR audio cable, thus senses false pin 1 connections accurately.
