PureSound is a revolutionary new approach for perceptual audio testing. It effectively measures all audible manufacturing imperfections with an unmatched correlation to the acuity of "Golden Ears".
PureSound is based on a patented model and is ideally suited for high-volume production line testing of products such as mobile phones, transducers and loudspeakers, mp3 players, Bluetooth headsets, etc.
The performance of PureSound exceeds all other systems on the market by far, thus providing the users with an important competitive advantage. PureSound is a software extension for the Rapid-Test RT-2M.
Key features:
- Replaces subjective tests (e.g. Golden Ears) by objective reproducible test results
- Provides 100% quality control
- Very robust test system, simple and intuitive operation
- No dependance on human performance.
Rub&Buzz Testing
PureSound detects the slightest Rub&Buzz defects of speakers or transducers such as air-leaks, miscentred coils, rubbing voice coils, loose particles, touching wires, ... and allows the user to qualify the nature of these defects. The correlation with the perception of a “Golden Ear” is 100%. Customers may enjoy fast and reliable test results, even at high environmental factory noise. The typical test time is < 1.0 sec (depending on frequency range and resolution). Improve your product quality control and save costs at the same time by using Rub&Buzz testing.
Sound Correlation
PureSound compares and rates an acquired sound pattern of an audio signal with a golden sample, such as cell phones ringer tone melodies, MP3 reference sequences or toy sounds. The returned result directly reflects the similarity between the two audio signals. Automated alignment and scaling of the test pattern guarantees highly accurate and repeatable measurements.
