STI-PA Speech Intelligibility Option
The STI-PA analyzer option allows durable and reliable speech intelligibility measurement within 15 seconds (typical). Besides the single value STI or CIS test result, a detailed view of modulation indices and individual band level results is provided. The STI-PA analyzer includes amplitude weighting in accordance with the 2003 IEC 60268-16 standards release.
Acquired measurements may be referenced to previously established background noise level spectra's with automatic recalculation of the STI values.
Find more details about STI-PA in practice in the
- Application Note: Speech Intelligibility
- Acoustilyzer User Manual (incl. many practical hints)

STI-PA Post Processing
Measuring speech intelligibility with realistic environmental noise is often not applicable, e.g. in railway stations these measurements might not be carried out during peak hours at highest background noise level. In practice the STI-PA measurement will be much rather taken during the night as less persons getting disturbed by the played test signal and post calculated there after. The post processing software is available free of charge in the download section here.
