Newly-designed Sound Level Measurement Report

Newly-designed Sound Level Measurement Report

The SLM Reporting Tool presents the results of measurements recorded with the XL2 in a flexible measurement report. In addition, the broadband level is plotted over time in a chart. The SLM Reporting Tool is now available free of charge for all XL2 customers.

The SLM Reporting Tool is a newly-built measurement report based on Microsoft Excel for Windows. It displays the broadband level recorded with the XL2 Sound Level Meter for analysis and documentation of the measurement results.

The XL2 Sound Level Meter stores all measured values on its SD card in text format (txt file) for documentation and further analysis. These files can be opened with a text editor or imported directly into MS Excel. Based on these txt-files, the recorded broadband sound levels can now be loaded directly into the SLM Reporting Tool at the push of a button. After entering the measuring location and descriptions, the measurement report is ready for printing.

Reporting in accordance with selectable local Standards
The customer-specific input windows are flexible. The user can select between a measurement report for live event monitoring or a general ambient noise measurement. In addition, the title of each window can be adapted individually to the needs of the customer. Product Manager Berno Nigsch explains, “The SLM Reporting Tool is the result of many customer requests for a flexible measurement report. Customers can now access this form and clearly document their sound level measurements with a few mouse clicks.” Nigsch continues, “Country-specific measurement reports, such as for the event monitoring according to Vlaamse Geluidsnormen in Belgium or DIN15905 in Germany, are selectable by mouse click. Any applicable limit values are automatically displayed.

Free Download
The SLM Reporting Tool is offered free of charge for all registered XL2 customers. It replaces all previous measurement report forms and supports Microsoft Excel 2016, 2013 and 2010 for PC. For a more comprehensive analysis of logged sound level data, the optional XL2 Data Explorer software is available. It is also displaying the third band spectrum and playing the audio data synchronously with the level.
