For the most comprehensive analysis of logged noise monitoring data, use the XL2 Data Explorer software. The data import into the software is enabled by the Data Explorer Option, which needs to be installed in the XL2 Sound Level Meter.
The chart view shows the logged levels, markers, audio player, spectrogram and frequency spectrum.
A drop down menu allows you to select the individual levels. All selected noise levels are displayed in the chart. Select one or more, or a range of one-third octave bands for display against time.
Extremely fast zoom and pan response over the entire data log period, even for very large data sets.
Mark areas of interest in the graph with a text description. Choose "Include Markers" for calculations of contributions by specific noise sources, enabling simple source ranking. Eliminate unwanted noise sources from your final result using "Exclude Markers". The marked areas are summed and appear in your report.
XL2 Data Explorer offers a detailed statistical analysis of the logged sound level measurement data. The percentiles can be calculated for wide band levels as well as 1/1 and 1/3 octave band levels. Data Explorer calculates the level statistics of the complete measurement or marked time periods as part of the post-measurement analysis. Excluded periods are considered.
The XL2 Data Explorer calculates the levels Lden, Ldn, Lday, Levening, Lnight with individual weightings (penalties).
The tabular representation shows all results in a structured and intuitive way, detailing the original recorded results, summaries of the areas marked for exclusion and inclusion, and the final result. The results can be exported to EXCEL.
The noise level data is divided in measurement intervals with selectable length of 5, 10, 15, 30 or 60 minutes. The corresponding levels of these audit intervals are calculated and presented in the chart and result view.
Audio recordings are time-aligned to the graphs. Listen to the recordings for a more objective analysis of the noise sources with manual or automatic gain control.
Complete your professional reports with customized titles and comments. The XL2 Data Explorer automatically adds relevant header data such as the measurement date, calibration information, instrument setup etc., and compiles a tailored report. Simply add your own company logo.
The Data Explorer Option enables the import of measurement data into the XL2 Data Explorer software. This option needs to be installed in the XL2 Sound Level Meter. XL2 customers may then also import data which has been recorded prior the installation of the Data Explorer Option.
XL2 customers may download a demo Data Explorer PC software for evaluation at the support page. It includes various demo projects.
The XL2 Data Explorer software can be installed on multiple computers. This provides consultants with the freedom to distribute their measurement projects amongst the team members and clients.
The software is compatible with Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 Pro and requires video board with a shader-model 3.0 or higher (DirectX 9.0 c).
Get your full report ready within minutes of completing the measurement. Just open the Sound Reporting Tool with Microsoft Excel and load the data file from the XL2 Sound Level Meter. The tool extracts all available data such as measurement date, start time, etc. and generates sound level charts. The entire measurement period is graphed with the relevant sound levels and legal limits where appropriate, allowing you to visualize the sound levels at a glance.
