27. 1월 2026 New Features in the XL3 Acoustic Analyzer The new firmware V1.52 for the XL3 Acoustic Analyzer introduces practical tools that directly support everyday measurement tasks. Voice notes and improved marker handling assist efficient documentation, microphone self-checks improve reliability, and predictive sound level control makes live event monitoring easier. The new features help you save time, avoid errors, and meet regulatory requirements with confidence. Voice Notes At the end of each measurement, you can optionally enter a text note or—new—record and play back a voice note. This is saved as a WAV file together with the measurement data and helps you keep track even when dealing with a large number of measurements. Microphone Self-Test With the CIC function (Charge Injection Check), a convenient microphone self-test is available. Different frequencies are stimulated and compared with a reference, allowing the integrity of the microphone to be checked quickly and reliably. The test can be performed either manually or automatically after each measurement. Markers More clarity during measurements: markers can now be set not only via the XL3 keypad but also directly via the touchscreen. With up to six individually nameable markers, relevant events can be precisely identified and quickly found again during later analysis. Sound Level Predictor Loud, yet compliant: the XL3 Sound Level Predictor helps ensure that volume levels and regulatory requirements are safely aligned during live sound events. Based on the current sound level, applicable limit values, and remaining time, the tool displays the available level reserve—ideal for standards with time-defined limits such as LAeq,30' according to DIN 15905.
