Personal data that is processed when you create a my.nti-audio account

When you create a my.nti-audio account, we ask you to provide your email address, name, and country of residence. You can choose to provide a nickname instead of your full name if you wish. The email address must be unique within our system.

Purposes and legal grounds

(a) NTi Audio processes your email address because you use your email address and your password to sign in to your account. The legal basis for processing your email address for this purpose is NTi Audio’s legitimate interest in protecting the security of your account.

(b) NTi Audio also processes your email address for the purpose of sending you important information about your NTi Audio products or account, such as important safety information or material changes to this Privacy Policy.

(c) The name you provide is associated with your account profile, and is displayed when you are logged in to an NTi Audio website. The legal basis for processing your name for these purposes is NTi Audio’s legitimate interest in providing you important safety or other information about your NTi Audio products or account or material changes to this Privacy Policy, and in providing you an opportunity to engage with other NTi Audio users.

(d) If you provide your opt-in consent to receiving marketing information from NTi Audio, we will also process your email address for the purpose of sending you marketing information about NTi Audio products. The legal basis for processing your email address for this purpose is your consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time by changing your preferences in your my.nti-audio account or through the unsubscribe link at the bottom of our marketing emails.

(e) NTi Audio also processes your email address to associate it with your my.nti-audio account when you interact with our customer support representatives. The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in providing quality customer support.

Personal data that is processed when you communicate with NTi Audio

When you interact with our customer support representatives via email, telephone, online or in person, we collect personal data, such as your name, mailing address, phone number, email address and contact preferences; and information about the NTi Audio products you own, such as their serial numbers. We also may create event logs that are useful in diagnosing product or app performance-related issues, and capture information relating to the support or service issue. To improve customer service, subject to applicable laws, we may also record and review conversations with customer support representatives. Our customer support representatives may access data in your my.nti-audio account, if appropriate, to help troubleshoot and resolve your issue.

Purpose and legal basis

We use this information to provide you with customer and product support and to monitor the types of customers and quality of product support we provide to our customers. The legal basis for processing this information for these purposes is NTi Audio’s legitimate interests in providing quality product support. The legal basis for accessing data in your my.nti-audio account, if appropriate, is the necessity, determined by us, to troubleshoot and resolve your issue.

Other service providers

Audio uses tracking services from third parties to assist in sending emails. Those services track the activities associated with these emails, such as whether the emails were opened, and which links in the emails were clicked. NTi Audio uses this data to analyze the level of recipient engagement with the emails. The tracking data does not show any personal information e.g. which person has clicked. It just summarizes the total clicks and opening statistics.

NTi Audio is a global business. To offer our products, apps and services, we may need to transfer your personal data to other NTi Audio subsidiaries in other countries. When you create a my.nti-audio account or add personal data in your account profile, your personal data will be collected and stored on a cloud-based service of Amazon Web Services.

Websites

To help analyze how you and other visitors navigate NTi Audio websites, and compile aggregate statistics about site usage and response rates, we, with assistance from third-party analytics service providers, collect certain information when you visit our site. This information includes IP address, geographic location of the device, browser type, browser language, date and time of your request, time(s) of your visit(s), page views and page elements (e.g., links) that you click. Children

Our intention is to not collect data from persons under 16. If we learn that we have collected the personal data from a person under 16, we will take steps to delete the information as soon as possible.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as we add new products and apps, as we improve our current offerings, and as technologies and laws change. Retention of Personal Data

We will retain your personal data as long as your my.nti-audio account is considered to be active. In addition, see below under “Your Rights” for a description of your right of erasure.

If you reside outside of the European Union, you may have similar rights under your local laws.
