Stereo Device Testing

Test stereo devices with defined limits and automated reporting.

Automated testing of consumer products with multiple inputs and electrical or acoustic outputs is supported by the PureSound speaker test system. The individual acoustic performance of left/right speakers is typically measured in sequential order.

  • Audio quality testing
  • Speaker performance control
  • Simultaneous or sequential measurements

What are Smart Devices?

A smart device is an electronic gadget that is able to connect, share and interact with its user and other smart devices. Although usually small in size, smart devices typically have significant computing power.

We are concerned with testing only with those smart devices that have built-in loudspeakers or microphones.

These could be smart speakers, mobile devices, tablets, intercoms, and security cameras.

The example we will test is the Amazon Echo Dot.

Measurement Setup

  • Additional microphones and/or vibration sensors may probe for housing vibrations or loose grids. Input and Output Switcher Modules may be integrated for such comprehensive matrix testing with up to 80 Input and Output Channels.

With up to 8 external switcher modules daisy-chained together, and each module capable of handling 10 channels, the FX100 is capable of testing up to input and output channels, while up to 12 input and output channels can be tested using the FX100 internal modules alone.
