Sound Insulation Reporter

The Sound Insulation Reporter is a PC-based software application that provides all the standard reports for Airborne, Impact and Facade sound insulation measurements. Designed for acoustic consultants, this comprehensive tool uses data gathered by the Acoustic Analyzer, and quickly returns graphical analysis for all measurement positions.

  • Airborne, impact and facade sound insulation
  • Standardized Reporting
  • Parallel measurements in sending and receiving room

Overview

Sound Insulation Reporter Header

The Sound Insulation Reporter software offers remote measurements; two or more Sound Level
Meters may be controlled directly by the software connected via USB or wireless. This enables
parallel measurements of sending and receiving room onsite, thus a great time saving.

The Sound Insulation Option enables the import of measurement data into the Sound Insulation Reporter software.
Utilizing the remote sound insulation measurement functionality requires an activated Remote Measurement Option
on the connected device.

Features of the Sound Insulation Reporter software:

  • Airborne Sound Insulation
  • Impact Sound Insulation
  • Facade Sound Insulation
  • Visualization of all measurement
  • Customized Reporting
  • Standards ASTM E336, ASTM E413, ASTM E1007, ASTM E989, ASTM E966, ASTM E1332, BB93, DIN 4109, Document E, GB/T 19889, ISO 16283, ISO 140, ISO 717, ISO 10140, NEN 5077:2019, SIA 181:2006, SIA 181:2020

Introduction to the Sound Insulation Reporter

Automated Live Measurement with the Sound Insulation Reporter

Multi-Views

  • Measurements View

Drag & drop the measurement data into the software or perform remote-controlled measurements by connecting one or more Sound Level Meters via USB, LAN or wireless. All measurement data is automatically assigned to the corresponding sending or receiving room, as well as the speaker position for the sound insulation calculation.

  • Calculations View

Evaluate the individual data sets for each room and speaker position. The colored background noise correction areas provide the important information at a glance.

  • Results View

The results view displays the calculated sound insulation in a table and the standardized chart from 50 Hz to 5 kHz. The single number rating and the spectrum corrections are shown as applicable.

I’ve been using the XL2 for over 15 years for short-term and long-term measurements in all kinds of indoor and outdoor environments all across the country. The meter gets me what I want, when I need it. It’s not only the best value for acoustical measurements, it’s the best tool period. I bet my company and reputation on XL2 results and it has not let me down. You would be crazy not to consider adding NTi instruments to your toolkit.

We at Constructure GmbH use two XL3 sound level meters for noise monitoring during demolition work. We are very satisfied with these highly user-friendly instruments, the online monitoring in the MeasurEye Cloud, the good advice and qualified support. Factory calibrations at NTi Audio are also handled very smoothly and without complications.
