Class 1 Certified

The measurement microphones are optimized for a flat, free-field response in the frequency range 5 Hz – 20 kHz. Models for acoustic measurements of up to 155 dB are available.

All microphones are omni-directional and 48V phantom powered. The Sound Level Meter microphones include an electronic data sheet. The Automated Sensor Detection (ASD) of the Analyzer automatically reads this data sheet, and recognizes the microphone model, sensitivity and calibration data. This ensures accurate measurement results.

  • Omni-directional, free-field microphone

Measurement Microphones for the XL2 / XL3 Sound Level Meter

The microphones are 48 V phantom powered and include an electronic data sheet. The Automated Sensor Detection (ASD) of the Analyzer automatically reads this data, i.e. the microphone model and calibration data. This promotes faster setup and ensures accurate measurements.

The microphone bodies contain the preamplifier. They combine high dynamic range and wide frequency range with low noise. These measurement microphones connect via the ASD Cable to the Sound Level Meter e.g. for measurements at remote locations or to reduce acoustic reflections. The types M2230, M2211 and M2215 are formed by a combination of preamplifier MA220 and a dedicated microphone capsule. The M2340 is formed by the preamplifier MA230 and the microphone capsule.

I’ve been using the XL2 for over 15 years for short-term and long-term measurements in all kinds of indoor and outdoor environments all across the country. The meter gets me what I want, when I need it. It’s not only the best value for acoustical measurements, it’s the best tool period. I bet my company and reputation on XL2 results and it has not let me down. You would be crazy not to consider adding NTi instruments to your toolkit.

We at Constructure GmbH use two XL3 sound level meters for noise monitoring during demolition work. We are very satisfied with these highly user-friendly instruments, the online monitoring in the MeasurEye Cloud, the good advice and qualified support. Factory calibrations at NTi Audio are also handled very smoothly and without complications.
