Longer field autonomy with the new rechargeable battery base
The 5GV Vibration Monitor set: device, rechargeable battery base, mounting bracket, USB cable, antennas and carry bag.
The 5GV Vibration Monitor (article 600 070 001) now ships with a rechargeable battery base built around 12x Nitecore NL1840HP 18650 Li-ion cells (4000 mAh each), for a total capacity of 48,000 mAh / 173 Wh.
Battery life ranges from 20 days in Occupant Comfort mode, with a 1-second logging interval and web publication, to 100 days in Structural Damage mode, with logging and data publication every 15 minutes and power-saving mode enabled. Publishing event data only extends battery life to more than six months.
This is particularly practical for long-term, unattended monitoring on construction and infrastructure sites, where returning to swap batteries isn’t always convenient.
New accessory: Ground Mounting Plate
Ground Mounting Plate (article 600 070 016) with interchangeable spike and rounded feet, and an integrated bubble level.
Simply setting a vibration sensor loosely on soft ground or paved surfaces creates contact resonances that distort your spectral data with artificial peaks. The Ground Mounting Plate (Art. No. 600 070 016) solves this by providing a force-locked connection strictly compliant with DIN 45669-2.
Equipped with interchangeable hardened steel spikes (for poking through indoor soft carpets and floor coverings to contact the solid floor below) and rounded feet (for concrete, masonry, asphalt, or paving slabs on ground sand beds), this accessory allows field teams to seamlessly adapt to any site condition in seconds.
