The XL3 Sound Level Meter has received official Type Approval in Portugal from the Instituto Português da Qualidade (IPQ). The approval covers the XL3 as a Class 1 integrating sound level meter in accordance with IEC 61672 and the applicable requirements of legal metrology in Portugal.
The approval applies to the XL3 in combination with the M2340 microphone chain and covers key acoustic measurement quantities including equivalent continuous sound level (Leq), maximum sound level (Lmax), sound pressure level (SPL), peak sound level (Lpeak) and sound exposure level (LAE), as well as free-field and diffuse-field measurements.
