The XL3 Sound Level Meter has received class 1 type approval from the “Eidgenössischen Institut für Metrologie” METAS in Switzerland. The type-approved class 1 sound level meter is therefore suitable for environmental noise, occupational health and sound insulation applications in Switzerland where the measurements are required to be certified.
The type approval certificate confirms that the XL3 (in combination with the M2340 measurement microphone and the WP30-90 weather protection) offers full compliance with the class 1 sound level meter requirements in accordance with the standards IEC 61672-1:2013 and IEC 61260-1:2014.
That’s not all
The type approval from METAS was not the first independent institution to certify the XL3 as class 1. The French LNE, the CPA in China and the CMI in Czech Republic have already confirmed the same certification.
