Handheld Solution

The XL2 with Spectral Limits Option offers an efficient, low-cost solution for industrial quality control. Measurements can be compared against a reference curve with customized tolerance bands. The pass/fail results are provided by the internal tri-color LED or an optional external Stack Light. Integration tools for automation and remote operation are provided.

XL2 with M4260 Measurement Microphone

FFT Analysis

Compares the high-resolution acoustic pattern of any device against a pre-defined reference sample with a pass/fail analysis in linear X-scaling. The detailed frequency analysis allows identifying problematic frequeny bands to reduce the noise generated by the device.

1/12 Octave Analysis

Passed/Failed measurements with selectable 1/1, 1/3, 1/6 or 1/12 octave band resolution in logarithmic X-scaling.

Pass/Fail Measurements

The XL2 Analyzer captures the frequency spectrum of reference speakers/microphones and supports generation of tolerance bands based on the captured reference data. Measurements can either be displayed as absolute traces or shown relative to previously stored traces. Frequencies with failed results are individually visualized in every frequency band.

Auto-start Function

Measurement starts by automatic level trigger, external foot switch or instrument start button.

Stack Light

Provides visual pass/fail indication.

Tolerance Management

Tolerance curves can either be imported from txt-files or directly derived from captured measurements. The XL2 calculates tolerance bands based on

  • txt-files manually generated on the PC
  • Mean average of multiple captures
  • Min/Max curves of multiple captures

Digital I/O Adapter PCB

For automated operation with external peripheral devices the XL2 Analyzer can be linked into a programmable logic controller. The Digital I/O Adapter is tailored for rail mounting in electric switch boxes.

Remote Monitoring

Multiple XL2 Analyzers connect with USB Device Servers to a network for online noise monitoring. Wireless solutions are also supported. An individual Projector Software may be started for each XL2 Analyzer, thus simultaneously displaying all XL2 screens on the PC monitor. Each XL2 Analyzer can be controlled from the host PC.

XL2 Noise Monitoring Network

Individual Solution programmed by Customer

The Remote Measurement Option allows querying of the XL2 measurement data online via the USB interface. Multiple XL2 Analyzers can be implemented into a customer specific noise monitoring solution. The XL2 acts as a front end device for sound level measurements.

Desktop / Rack-mount Solution

The FLEXUS FX100 offers dedicated analysis for industrial measurement applications. Key advantages include the wide frequency range from DC to 80 kHz, outstanding specifications, minimum test cycle time, maximum versatility and easy integration into an automated environment. Due to its on-board Phantom and ICP power supply, the FX100 analyzer can be directly connected to a measuring microphone or vibration sensor. The FLEXUS FX100 is ideal for verifying the proper operation of industrially manufactured items such as vibrating devices, generators or motors, gearboxes, shock absorbers etc.
