XL2-TA Sound Level Meter receives Austrian Type Approval

XL2-TA Sound Level Meter receives Austrian Type Approval

The XL2-TA Sound Level Meter has received class 1 type-approval from the BEV (Bundesamt für Eich- und Vermessungswesen) in Austria. The type approved class 1 sound level meter is therefore suitable for environmental noise, occupational health and sound insulation applications in Austria where the measurements are required to be certified.

This type approval certificate confirms, that the XL2-TA offers full compliance with the Austrian requirements for class 1 sound level meters. The configuration includes the M2230 measurement microphone, the ASD Cable and the optional Extended Acoustic Pack. The sound level meter complies with the latest standards editions of IEC 61672 and IEC 61260. It offers certified spectral measurements in octave and third-octave resolution.

XL2-TA for Certified Noise Measurements
Philipp Schwizer, CEO of NTi Audio AG, comments: "The BEV type approval is another important milestone for XL2 users in Austria as it confirms the already-perceived value of the XL2 – being among the most precise Acoustic Analyzers worldwide." The M2230 Measurement Microphone connects with the ASD Cable to the XL2-TA, thus forming the configuration for sound level measurements with class 1 accuracy. The configuration, with the microphone detached from the XL2-TA, allows the user to monitor the level readings on the instrument display, while class 1 measurements are carried out. The NTi Audio Precision Calibrator completes the portable measurement kit offered in the compact system case.
